We placed the frame in a vise to use it while holding the parts to be welded. The controls include a thumb switch to close the jaws and a trigger switch or foot switch to fire the spot weld.

The system appears to have been customized by Falstrom Welding Products. The welder is guaranteed to be working since it was being used when the lab shut down.
